Is your partner’s beard breaking you out?

Here's the solution...
If you have skin problems and your partner has a beard, we’ve got some bad news… they might just be the culprit.
Whilst you’re enjoying a kiss, their beard could be wreaking havoc on your face; increasing your chances of infection and developing skin problems.
Claire Haley, dermatologist and founder of Blossom Skin, says that if your partner’s beard isn’t clean, you could end up with a serious infection. This is common for people with skin conditions like acne or rosacea, who are prone to this as well as rashes.

It’s the same deal for the skin on your body, but it’s more likely to impact the face due to its thin and porous nature that is open to infections.
We get that it might not be realistic to send them the sink before every kiss (just a slight mood killer), so we asked Claire for an alternative solution.
She says: “You can take better care of your extracellular matrix [also known as the skin barrier] by using better products. Try the Derma Purifying Face Cream and Zinzino's gut powder, as everything stems from the gut."
Your skin works from the inside out; if the cells are unhealthy, you will be more prone to these infections.
“One way to improve your skin health is by taking a high-quality omega oil to correct the balance. You need a 3:1 omega 6 to omega 1 ratio - the omega 6 will cause inflammation which will then be eradicated by the omega 3. In turn, this will put all of the good fats in the cells, turning them permeable and allowing the toxins to leave the body. Try the Zinzino BalanceOil.”
If the damage is already done, Claire suggests having a salon treatment to help fix the problem like a HydraFacial to draw bacteria out of the skin. Alternatively, a chemical peel will kill bacteria on the surface of the skin.
Phew, we won't have to give up kissing after all.
